The Alocasia Black Velvet Pink is an exceptional and rare variety of the popular Black Velvet line. Its velvety soft, deep dark leaves provide the perfect backdrop for fine to intense pink veining and delicate pink highlights, giving the plant an almost mystical, elegant character.

The characteristic, compact foliage looks almost like black velvet, covered with a soft pinkish sheen that shimmers subtly depending on the light. The pink tones vary from delicate pastel shades to bolder pink accents along the leaf veins – each plant displays its own unique, individual pattern.

The Alocasia Black Velvet Pink grows compactly and sturdily, making it perfect for display cases, terrariums, or high-quality indoor setups. Bright, indirect lighting beautifully highlights both its velvety leaf texture and the pink contrasts.

💡 Care tip:

Use an airy, well-draining substrate consisting of stratum corneum, perlite, zeolite, and a few coconut chips. Keep the substrate consistently slightly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Temperatures between 22–28 °C and a humidity level above 60% promote vigorous leaf growth and vibrant pink accents.
