Variegated Alocasia Melo Albo

The Alocasia Melo Albo is an exceptional variegated rarity that immediately catches the eye with its striking, almost stone-like leaf structure and contrasting white variegation. The thick, leathery leaves of the Melo appear as if carved from stone and are fascinatingly broken up by clear Albo patterns in white and cream – a perfect interplay of strength, texture, and elegance.

Each leaf is unique: from delicate white speckles and marbled patterns to bold albino sectors. The variegation further accentuates the characteristic veining and sculptural surface of the Melo, lending this otherwise very purist Alocasia an extraordinary depth.

💡 Care tip:

Use a very airy, mineral substrate such as stratum corneum, perlite, zeolite, and a little coconut coir. Keep the substrate consistently slightly moist, but allow it to dry out slightly between waterings. Temperatures between 22–28 °C and a humidity level of at least 60% promote vigorous growth and stable albochrome levels.
